Part 226304 brings BAK's BAKFlip G2 design to the 1999-2007 Ford F-250 and F-350 with an 8' bed. It is a hard folding tonneau cover, so you get lockable cargo protection and a bed that opens up when the job needs it.
The G2 is the proven BAKFlip design: aluminum-skinned panels, EPDM seals, automatic latching and a no-drill clamp-on install.
On a Super Duty the bed is a rolling toolbox, and a hard cover keeps what is in it protected from weather and out of sight.
Fold it forward, haul it, fold it back. That is the practical advantage of a hard folding design over a cover you have to take off and store: the entire bed is one move away and the cover stays attached.
Aluminum over a solid core. That construction keeps the cover light enough to live with and tough enough for the job, and the semi-gloss black powder coat is made to resist fading and chipping. Struts hold it against the cab when folded to keep the ride quiet, and you can carry up to 300 lb of evenly distributed weight on top.
Hard panels, and a latch that does the work. The rail and clamp system locks each panel automatically when you close it, so locking up never gets skipped.
Built to shed water. Precision-fit EPDM rubber seals run the perimeter, the hinges are rounded, and an integrated drainage system sends water away from the bed, which helps keep rain and wash-down spray outside.
If you want a hard cover that locks, seals and folds out of the way without a complicated install, the BAK 226304 is built for exactly that. It is assembled in the USA, carries a three-year limited warranty, and ships from Track Ready Products.
This is a clamp-on install: no drilling, hardware included, and a typical time of 30 minutes or less with hand tools.
Clean the bed rail caps first so the seals sit on a clean surface, set the cover in place, and tighten the clamps evenly from side to side. Work the cover open and closed once before you load the bed.
Recheck the clamps after about a week, wash with mild automotive soap and water, and clear off snow and ice before opening. Keep the cover secured at all points whenever you drive.
