The Pro X15 1456101 is the 2024-and-newer Tacoma version for the 5-foot bed, mounted to Toyota's Deck Rail System.
The 15-degree side rails sit nearly flush with the bed rails, which TruXedo says makes the cover 33 percent lower in profile than the Lo Pro and cuts drag, flapping and noise.
Aluminum cross-frame reinforcement under the fabric keeps rain, hail or snow from sagging into the bed. TruXedo tested the cover from -40 degrees F to 180 degrees F and in up to 95 percent humidity, so it is built for everything from Alaska to Florida.
Expect an install of about 30 minutes to an hour. It clamps on, so nothing gets drilled, and the quick-release handle makes removal easy.
Do not drive with the cover partly open: either latch it closed or roll it fully up and strap it at the cab. Keep cargo from pressing against the fabric, and avoid conditioners containing silicone or petroleum.
