This is the front Internal Bypass kit in Fox's Factory Race 2.5 Series for the Tacoma, built for a 2-3" lift and requiring an upper control arm to install, factory arms don't clear at this ride height. Internal bypass technology gives the shock multiple damping zones within a single stroke: fluid bypasses the main piston for a plush ride over small terrain, then that bypass shuts off deeper in the stroke, building progressive resistance before the shock ever bottoms out.
The 2.5" body is Type III anodized aluminum, and the external reservoir includes a Dual Speed Compression adjuster so you can tune damping for load, terrain, and driving style. A 7/8" hard chrome shaft, larger than what Fox uses on its mid-tier shocks, is built for sustained high-speed abuse rather than occasional trail use. Fox notes this fits 6-lug Tacoma versions specifically.
