This is Fox's Factory Series 2.5 rear shock for the F-150, sold as a matched pair with an external reservoir and Dual Speed Compression adjuster, offering 10 low-speed and 12 high-speed compression settings. Built for stock height up to a 1.5" lift, it's a genuine step up from Fox's 2.0 lineup: larger 2.5" body diameter means more oil and nitrogen capacity, which matters most on a truck that's actually loaded or towing rather than running empty.
The reservoir houses an internal floating piston to keep shock oil separated from pressurized nitrogen, and the 7/8" hard chrome shaft is built for sustained hard use. PTFE-lined spherical bearings reduce mounting play over time compared to a standard bushing. This is a bolt-on system, no cutting or custom brackets required.
Sold as a matched pair, both shocks included. Budget real time for mounting both reservoirs and routing hoses cleanly on both sides, not just bolting the shock bodies on.
Once installed, set both DSC adjusters to the same position as a baseline, mismatched settings side to side will make the truck feel uneven over bumps even though nothing is mechanically wrong.
