Antigravity Batteries backs their lithium products with some of the most straightforward warranty terms in the motorsports and powersports industry. But there are a few things you need to do — and a few things you need to avoid — to keep that coverage intact. This guide walks through everything: warranty lengths by product category, how to register, what's covered, what voids the warranty, and how to file a claim if you ever need to.

Warranty Lengths by Product Type
Antigravity doesn't use a one-size-fits-all warranty. Coverage is tiered based on product type, and the difference between a 1-year and 10-year warranty is significant depending on what you're buying.
| Product Category | Warranty Period | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Automotive Batteries | 5 Years | 3-year direct replacement + 2-year prorated |
| Powersport Batteries | 3 Years | Reduced to 1 year for confirmed race use |
| Deep Cycle Batteries | 10 Years | Longest coverage in the Antigravity lineup |
| Micro-Start Jump-Starters | 1 Year | Registration required within 30 days of purchase |
| Electronics & Accessories | 1 Year | No registration required; receipt needed for claims |
Race use note: If you're running a Powersport Battery on track — HPDE, Lucky Dog, ChampCar, SCCA — your warranty period drops to 1 year. That's still better than competitors who void coverage entirely for racing, but it's something to know going in.
How to Register Your Battery
This is the step that trips people up most often. Antigravity requires registration within 30 days of purchase for batteries and Micro-Start jump-starters. Miss that window and you're not automatically out of luck — you'll need a copy of your original receipt instead — but registration is the cleaner path and should be done the day your product arrives.
Step-by-Step Registration
- 1 Locate your serial number. For most batteries, it's on a label on the unit. For Micro-Starts, there may be two numbers: one on a square hologram sticker on the side, and one with an "AGB" prefix on a white label on the unit or box. For SPORT Micro-Starts and Energy Storage products, use "NA" in the serial number fields.
- 2 Go to antigravitybatteries.com/warranty/registration/ and fill out the form with your purchase date, serial number(s), and contact information.
- 3 Submit and save the confirmation. A notice appears below the send button when your registration goes through. Keep it along with your purchase receipt.
The registration form is not a warranty claim form. They are separate processes on separate pages of Antigravity's website. Even after registering, keep your purchase receipt — you'll need it if you ever file a claim.
What the Warranty Covers
Antigravity warrants their products against defects in materials and workmanship for the applicable warranty period. If a defect is confirmed after in-house testing, they'll repair or replace the product. Replacement items may be new or serviceably used, comparable in function and performance to the original, and are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period — not a fresh term from the replacement date.
Coverage applies only to the original purchaser from Antigravity directly or from an authorized dealer. The warranty is non-transferable — it doesn't carry over to a new owner if the battery is sold.
Automotive batteries carry a prorated 5-year term: the first 3 years are a direct replacement period, and years 4 and 5 are prorated from the original purchase date. Powersport batteries carry a 3-year term for street use, reduced to 1 year for confirmed race applications.
What Voids the Warranty
Antigravity is more permissive than most competitors — they don't void coverage for racing on powersport batteries (it just shortens the term), and they don't have extreme restrictions on terminal handling or minor voltage drops. But there are still conditions that end coverage, and the electrical-related voids catch the most people off guard.
Per Antigravity, overcharging from a failing voltage regulator is the root cause in the overwhelming majority of warranty claims they see. Check your charging system before you swap in a lithium battery, especially on older vehicles.
Electrical-Related Voids
- Using a lead-acid Battery Tender or standard trickle charger on a lithium battery
- Using any charger not designed for 12.8V LiFePO4, or with a max charge voltage above 14.4V
- Damage caused by a faulty voltage regulator overcharging the battery
- Short-circuit damage
- Parasitic drains that discharge the battery below 11V
- Use in non-standard electrical systems — total-loss systems, 24V systems, or similar
- Modifications to the battery's DC output, input ports, or electrical connections
Physical and Usage Voids
- Physical damage from impact, neglect, or misuse after purchase
- Installation in high-heat areas, including "oil bag" locations or areas exceeding safe operating temperature
- Disassembly, alteration, or repair by anyone other than Antigravity Batteries
- Operation under extreme temperature, shock, or vibration beyond Antigravity's guidelines
- Using the battery in an application requiring more cranking power or reserve capacity than the unit is rated to deliver
For track builds: Older race cars — especially older motorcycles and bikes with high-performance stators — often have voltage regulators on the edge of failure. A regulator that spikes above safe charge limits will damage a lithium battery and void the warranty. Verify your charging system output with a multimeter before you make the swap.
How to File a Warranty Claim
All warranty claims are handled directly by Antigravity Batteries — not by your reseller. Here's the process from start to finish.
- 1 Download the correct warranty claim form from antigravitybatteries.com/warranty/. There are separate forms for lithium starter batteries and Micro-Start products. Read the full form before contacting Antigravity.
- 2 Request an RMA number by emailing info@antigravitybatteries.com or calling 310-527-2330. Include your invoice number or a copy of your original receipt. Do not ship anything without an approved RMA — batteries received without one are returned to the sender at the customer's expense.
- 3 Ship the battery to Antigravity Batteries at 15622 Broadway Center St., Gardena, CA 90248. Include the completed claim form, your original receipt, and the RMA number. Shipping to Antigravity and insurance are the customer's responsibility.
- 4 Antigravity tests and determines the outcome. If a covered defect is confirmed, they'll replace the battery and cover return ground shipping within the continental US. If the battery tests as functioning correctly, return shipping is at your expense. The original unit must be received before a replacement ships — Antigravity does not advance replacements.
Do not ship a damaged or suspected-defective lithium battery through the mail without contacting Antigravity first. Shipping known faulty lithium-ion batteries via postal or common carrier is a federal violation. If there is any sign of external damage, call or email before packing anything.
What to Include With Every Claim
- Completed Warranty Claim Form (lithium battery or Micro-Start version, as applicable)
- Copy of original purchase receipt or Antigravity invoice
- Antigravity-issued RMA number
Each battery is eligible for only one warranty replacement. After a replacement is issued, coverage runs out the clock on the original purchase date — not a fresh warranty term from the replacement date.

This is a condition that's easy to overlook when comparison shopping. Antigravity honors warranty claims only on products purchased directly from them or from an authorized dealer. Third-party marketplace listings, private sales, and grey-market purchases are not covered.
The warranty is also non-transferable — it doesn't follow the battery through a sale. A used Antigravity battery purchased from a private seller has no warranty coverage remaining regardless of its age or condition.
Track Ready Products is an authorized Antigravity dealer. When you buy through us, your battery is covered under the full manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I miss the 30-day registration window?
You can still file a warranty claim — you'll just need to provide a copy of your original receipt in place of a registration confirmation. Keep your purchase receipt regardless of whether you register on time.
Can I use a standard lead-acid charger on an Antigravity battery?
No. Using a lead-acid Battery Tender or trickle charger on a lithium battery will void the warranty and can damage the cells. Antigravity batteries require a charger designed specifically for 12.8V LiFePO4 chemistry with a maximum charge voltage not exceeding 14.4V. The Antigravity Super-Charger lineup works, as do lithium-compatible chargers from brands like CTEK.
Does the warranty cover race use?
For powersport batteries, yes — but the term is reduced to 1 year for confirmed race applications rather than the standard 3 years. Street-use automotive batteries do not have a separate race-use provision in the warranty documentation.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell the battery?
No. The warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is explicitly non-transferable. A used Antigravity battery has no remaining warranty coverage regardless of its age.
Does Antigravity ship a replacement before I send back the defective unit?
No. The original battery must be received and tested at Antigravity before a replacement ships. Build in the round-trip shipping time when estimating turnaround on a claim.
What if testing shows my battery isn't defective?
If the battery tests as functioning correctly, Antigravity will return it to you at your expense. Their in-house testing determines whether a covered defect exists.
