FOX Factory has been building high-performance suspension since 1974, when Bob Fox started producing motocross shocks in his garage in Watsonville, California. What started in motorsport became the foundation for one of the most recognized suspension brands in trucks and off-road — because FOX's engineering approach has always been the same: build shocks that can survive what racing dishes out, then make that technology available to enthusiasts. The result is a product line where even the entry-level shocks use IFP monotube construction and nitrogen charging that most competitors reserve for their premium tiers.

The FOX truck and Jeep lineup runs from the 2.0 Performance Series — a bolt-on aluminum-body IFP shock at the accessible end — through the 2.5 Performance Series with its larger body, more oil capacity, and Hydraulic Top Out technology, up to the 2.5 Performance Elite Series with a one-piece 6061-T6 aluminum body and DSC adjusters standard on every unit. At the top end sits the Factory Race Series, which brings internal bypass architecture, rebuildable steel bodies, and 3.0-inch options for the most demanding applications. All FOX shocks are fully serviceable through authorized FOX service centers.

The guides on this page cover how to pick the right series for your truck or Jeep, what DSC adjusters actually do and when they're worth it, body diameter differences, and vehicle-specific fitment notes for the platforms TRP customers run. Browse FOX shocks by vehicle →
